National Cadet Corps (NCC)

UNITY • DISCIPLINE • LEADERSHIP

About NCC

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), established under the NCC Act of 1948, is a voluntary organization for school and college students in India. It operates through three wings—Army, Navy, and Air Force—and is led by a Director General of Lieutenant General rank.

Its motto, Unity and Discipline, reflects in every cadet’s lifestyle. NCC is organized into 17 directorates, symbolized in its flag by red (Army), deep blue (Navy), and light blue (Air Force), with a lotus wreath representing the directorates.

Cadets receive basic military training, improving physical fitness, leadership, and discipline. They can earn ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ certificates through exams, which are valuable for career opportunities, especially in civil services.

With activities like trekking, camps, and debates, NCC helps students grow personally while experiencing a disciplined and adventurous life.

NCC SONG
